Description
Model: Dee LuvbightLocation: Our backyard in the Central Texas Hill Country
Flowers: Lupinus texensis Fabaceae
The Bluebonnet is the state flower of Texas. Care must be taken when posing nude in local pastures because the Fire Ant (Formicidae Myrmicinae Solenopsis) is the unofficial state insect and Bull Nettle (Cnidoscolus texanus) is the unofficial state stinging plant.

wow, nice piece of land. I'm a little jealous. I've been wanting my own piece of land like yours for a while.

We were amazed...apparently the flood in 2007 spread millions of Bluebonnet seeds in our pasture. They're not as densely packed as on the typical road side, but we have 20-30 acres of Bluebonnets this year.
Fortunately I spot spray all the bull nettle, so I didn't kill the bluebonnets. If I'd just sprayed the whole pasture, we'd have missed this year's display.
Dee lived through this shoot without any fire ant bites, too
