I'd always hated this tree, but last fall it dropped one too many fern needle thingies in the pool. I'd had enough, so I lopped the top off and modified it with several feet of chain.
I think the new version is much prettier.

Oh those naughty camp councilors, they thoroughly enjoyed a full week of lording it over their younger charges.
All of whom were so desperate to join the most hoity-toity sorority at college. Β No degradation had been too
extreme or was off limits. Β Any remaining virtue, shamelessly stolen. Β Β
Left bound together, completely naked while those haughty sorority bitches partied and imbibed generous
quantities of expensive liquors. Β The cruelly used initiates, wiggling furiously, finally obtained their freedom.
All swore allegiance to paying back in spades those nasty brats for Β the many dire indignities suffered. Β
Working together, it was no problem to waylay each dizzy broad as they exited the lonely restroom. Β Hand gagged,Β
the squirming miscreant was dragged away. Β Before being marched at knife point out of hearing of the other
drunk revelers downΒ to the secluded pool. Β
There the groggy scoundrel, struggling uselessly, was quickly stripped by harsh, cruelly pinching fingersΒ
down to her blushing curvy birthday suit. Β All tooΒ soon the helpless high society gal found herself humiliatingly
strung up to the same nasty pole, used soΒ effectively by them earlier in punishing the foolish freshmen girls.
Once all the bully's had been captured, it was high time to wipe the silly grins off those befuddled souses and
begin the vindictive revenge, each so richly deserved. Β Tickle tortured, shamefully teased beyond belief, and
embarrassingly photographed. Β The exceedingly frustrated, sweaty and sobbing distressed damsels were finally Β
left hanging together, to await their uncertain fate.Β

I think most people would agree but shame about losing another tree though

Oh we'll plant nicer trees. This was I believe a Bald Cypress. The needles drop every year and get stuck in the pool filter. I'd prefer a nice Live Oak or some deciduous tree.
The previous owner made the classic new home owner mistake: planting too many trees too close together and too close to the house and fences. It's fine for a few years, but when the trees mature they interfere with each other and with yard maintenance.
