The wolf's anatomy is so menacing and imposing. It's like he just expects Red to still while he approaches her.

The woods are just trees. The trees are just wood. I sort of hate to ask it, but do you have a basket?
This looks like it could have come straight from an 18th century story book! I love all the detail, and how dark it looks. The Wolf's expression is wonderfully sinister ^_^

lovely use of the gothic style. pity the wolf is lost in the small view version.
browsing through your gallery has made me realise that I really should stop putting my crappy phone-photos of doodles on here and just get a scanner and start uploading my actual sketchbooks...yay, something to save up for, and a project for the coming months!
Love your drawings- they're so diverse. If you have a moment to write, I'd love to know how you've familiarised yourself so well with animal forms for your more traditional illustratorly pieces.

Oh, there is so many details in this beautiful piece of art. My own (own and stupid and ugly) works are always very minimalistic... and I like minimalism in art, but this work is simply amazing and must be in my fav gallery

The wolf: eeee! Here's the thing that's great about your wolf: it's not real That is to say, wolves don't really look that toothsome .. but .. a real little girl, really out in the woods, really all alone, with a real wolf really coming towards her would probably be noticing the teeth enough to give them that extra prominence in her mind. So it's a very evocative piece!

Ive looked at this pic along time ago so I know it's late for comments, but im 18 a senior and I wasn't lucky enough to recieve ap studio art, we get it next year in which ill be gone. I just did a watercolor with some ink, but like you said, don't take any offense to this but I don't know how you got a daily deviation featuer either. lol It is an awesome painting and gives me hope that maybe one of my paintings may be lucky enough. I can't seem to pull one single work of mine up off the browser if I gave it a 9 digit code. I know you know your mistakes, which is awesome, and I saw the same ones you saw, cept I think the girl looks pretty good, just style there is all. Your going to be a good artist, keep up the good work!

Hah. No offense taken. I think I got the DD because the guys who pick the Daily Deviations have their own specific 'tastes' and my picture just happened to appeal to them...which is stupid. Their 'tastes' shouldn't decide what ought to be made a DD or not. I mean, LOOK at all the nude photos of women that make it as a DD. And half of them are SHITTY photographs...so...I wouldn't lose too much sleep over whether or not your work receives a DD...the guys running it are ridiculous

With that said, I have to say that I really like this picture. The inking is done really well, down to the wolf's last hair. All the little lines brings out the details in a very nice way and gives the piece a 'wholesame' look. I love how you've portrayed little red riding hood and how she holds her hands under her chin making her look uncertain as to how approach the wolf. And the wolf with that sly grin... Good job, I say

Lol yeah thats true, those nude photographers take that stuff pretty serious though, I just don't see much art in most of them, but some are quite exceptional. I just thought a DD would be nice so I could get a few people to actually look at my site, for some reason my artwork doesn't show up on the browser, I can't even find myself unless I sign in. Is ap art studio a pretty good class? I don't know much about it, I wish my school had it. I'm really waiting for college so I can learn techniques and things I'm missing, and limit mistakes. I know im kinda rambling on but your the first person my age that seems to have a slight interest in illustration which is what I want to do. Lastly, have you ever entered the Junior duck art contest? pays 5000 for first, im not sure if that's national or not could just be state. But the guy who won last year (adam nisbett) is good, but I could see mistakes in his painting, and Im sure if I could just try harder I could give myself a chance. Try entering it if your into that kinda stuff, just thought Id inform you and thanx for replying.
