I have finally finished this massive behemoth of a project!!! There's a lot I could say but I'll try to make it as concise as possible.

This is my entry for 's Hoshi no Kaabii role swap contest. I decided to make a whole slew of fake screenshots (drawn completely from scratch!) for the occasion. At first I didn't want to give Kirby Meta Knight's job (since I figured a lot of people would) but the idea of Kirby poyo-ing "the pen is mightier than the sword" was too good to pass up. That scene ("the fountain scene", as I call it) is actually (no exaggeration) my favorite scene in the entire anime.

The following is the list of the swapped roles, in the form of A->B->C where person A takes on person B's role and person B takes on person C's role:
Bun->Fumu->Dedede->Kirby->Meta Knight->Escargon->Customer Service->Bun

I'll also sandwich this in here quickly but I didn't really want to change Fumu's title to "queen" (I wanted to keep her as a king) but decided that too many people would comment on it if I didn't. I just wanted to say it here since (for the record) I feel weird about the way certain gendered words (like king, waiter, actress) get changed around sometimes... but that's based on very personal things that have nothing to do with this

Lastly, thanks for waiting on me through the extended deadline! It's been a crazy 3 weeks for me and I'm so relieved that I was able to pull through. I'm super proud of this piece, regardless of how it does in the contest (I was so excited for the opportunity to make fake screenshots). Best of luck everyone!

Panels 1-2 (Bun with the Warp Star/Fire Dedede) are from episode 1 ("It's Here! The Pink Visitor")
Panel 3 (Escargon as Customer Service) is from episode 27 ("Whispy Woods Falls in Love")
Panel 4 (Fumu yelling) is from episode 49 ("New Anime Series: Dedede of the Stars")
Panels 5-12 ("the fountain scene") are from episode 37 ("Expose DededeWide in the Afternoon")
Panels 13-14 (unmasked Meta Knight) are from episode 60 ("Sacred Sword Galaxia")
Panel 15 (Customer Service being called "little brother") is from episode 15 ("Birth? Kirby's Little Brother")

Lastly: I don't say this often enough but this was created with GIMP, a 100% free art program that I highly recommend to anyone, especially if you're looking for a great art program but don't have any money.
