And here Fumu thought they were all just going to have a nice time.My entry for 's "lazy days" contest. I wasted a lot of time playing around with color filters that I never ended up using
I'll post the alternate color scheme after the contest results so that it doesn't interfere with voting. I took a few challenging steps in this picture... so I'm pretty satisfied with the result. Ever since starting with DutyBound I haven't been able to make lineart layers like I used to so I've been all over the place with my drawing technique.There's a lot going on in this picture but I'll let you all take it in. I'm always a huge fan of work that inspires daydreams and fanfictions... it's the kind of stuff I live for
This picture tells its own little story in a way, too.

Oh man, the composition on this thing is super creative; I love the perspective and all the subtle details everywhere (Fumu's trash can having her colour scheme for one; really like small details like that

Ahhhh thank you! I had been struggling with lineart so lately I've been going with a lineless-esque style. It's been driving me crazy but I'm glad to hear that it looks presentable.
Funny story about the details- I couldn't find a good picture of Meta Knight's inner tube from Return to Dreamland online (I knew the pattern and colors of each character was different) so I ended up booting up Return to Dreamland so that I could get a reference picture. I ended up getting distracted and playing a stage (plus a challenge stage and the arena)

Oh my, that's dedication right there! xD I remember as a kid, I would boot up my old GBA Pokemon game to kinda eyeball how the Pokemon looked while drawing it. Nothing like referencing the original sprite, huh?
Also yeah, Kirby games kinda have that effect on you; once you start you can't seem to put it down x)
