This was my favourite chipmunk at my grandparent's cottage ^___^ he was the sweetest little thing, very friendly, and quite amusing, too! and I SO love how this shot turned out! *huggles PeeWee (yes, PeeWee, shut up! X3) *----------

well, chipmunks seem to tame a lot easier, at least around here. so you need to find a chipmunk and have a big supply of peanuts!

This is such a great shot. He reminds me of a chipmunk that used to live at tha campground I went to when I was little. I called him CHippy and he'd sit in my hand and eat peanuts.

btw, you got some friendly squirrels where you are, anything that even resembles a squirrel around here is gone before you even knew it was there.. *grumble* must be the kids who like to pull their tails!

hehee the squirrels around here are pretty skittish too, but up north at my grandparents' cottage the chipmunks are really tame cause everyone feeds them and they're greedy little buggers. The ones up there are so tame, they'll run right up your leg or hop onto your shoulder to get a peanut ^__^ they're so cute!

How did you get so close? I have taken pictures of chipmunks too and never got that close. Closest I have ever gotten was about 3 feet. Great shot though, I love the detial

we had six different chipmunks at my grandparents cottage, and all of them were very friendly and would climb up on you to get a peanut. SO it wasn't hard for me to get that close when they're always climbing up your leg or jumping onto your shoulder ^__^
