One of the chipmunks I have tamed last Summer... He made it, he got this third big peanut between his teeth! Lol! Yes, another photo of these adorable wild animals...---------------------------------------------------

Wow that brings me back to my 7 th year of life...I had a pet chipmunk that did the same thing, then he would run all over the room and "bury" the spit ball of seeds under my pillow or blanket or shoe. Great picture.

I got him from my cousin who found him injured. We both lived where there were few people so we did what most children do...find other "friends" to pass time with. I also had a flying squirrel in the late 90's that I rescued from a old women's pot belly stove...it had been very close to death and I thought it was till it curled up in my hand. It had no water or food being stuck in the stove fire box so I took it home and made it well enough to release back into the woods... but when I got home from work there was blood in the Kleenex box and upon further careful look I found 5 little babies...one though was dead a few hours later and as it was late fall I could not release the mom and babies into the cold so I raised them which was a hard job. They are nocturnal so I was always sleepy as the babies and mom were crackerjack escape artist...it was scary to as they would jump on you, in the dark, from some place high. They were lots of fun...but some times it is not possible to release an injured animal to mother natures care since only the strong can survive...they lived longer than they would have in nature and I can only hope they were happy being my little friends.
