There are so many things it could represent. One of the first things that came to mind was religion, or doubt of it. Perhaps it's an inner conflict of "is it a lie? But even if it is, it is a beautiful one."

I get a feeling of melancholy and dejection looking at it... It is beautiful, but in a haunting way.

it shows that is is a mood but... i am not sure how i would interpret it.
for me those butterflys seam to be kinda sould kinda thoughs
perhaps the mood you have when your mind is clear that it is .. dunno how to describe
it is a nice relax peaceful feeling not to strongh, and not even a bit bad
or the mood when you are a bit besides yourself when the soul seam to be... in standby?
or a mood like it is leaving?
in all 3 moods a light feeling i think
that would be my thoughs of interpreting
