Description
Life and death and lifeRound and round
Begin again
Through my studies I have gained an appreciation for certain anatomical features that are associated with death. Skeletal elements, especially skulls, are symbols of death in many cultures, and frankly, they scare people. I love skulls, and skeletons. They are the structural support of our lives, they allow us to do amazing things.
So I like skulls. And tigers. <3
This piece was a struggle, took a lot longer than originally anticipated, but the struggle was worth it.

Aaugh Dani, seriously I think that this picture here is one of your best in your gallery. Soft, warm colors, vivid lighting, and plenty of delicious details make this picture simply amazing. <3 There are no critiques I can offer, however the flower petals appear too thick and don't share the same "grace" as the rest of the picture. But aside from that, this piece is brilliant. All your hard work on it definitely paid off!
As an aside, I always considered the skull to also be a symbol of life. If you think about it, it's our very core while we are alive, not unlike our heart eh? i guess... yeah, I guess skulls can symbolize life AND death, together.

Ehhhh late comment is late!
Thank you love!
I don't think I can decide on which side skulls symbolize for me personally, life or death. Its a bit of both, but in my heart skulls are a symbol of organic beings. It identifies us and allows us to live, housing the single most important organ of our bodies, yet is left behind when organisms pass. Its a symbol I absolutely adore.

Hey, you're very welcome! I. AUGH. I love picking back through your gallery when I'm looking for something extra to add to my Faves. ;; I really like your take on skulls! "Organic", that's a nice collective word for all living things in all phases-- both here, now, and after we leave. I guess that's why I'm so fascinated my skeletons, how scary to think that these THINGS were once going about their daily lives!

Stunning. *-* You paint beautifully. ^^ I've always had a fascination for skeletons, and drawing them, too. One of my favourite characters to draw is practically half a skeleton, and half a living thing!

That is incredibly awesome! I love the skin stretched tightly across the bones, you don't see that in very many characters!

I love the contrast between the soft, warm colour scheme and the actual (slightly eerie) content of the painting. The composition is just perfect, really draws your eye to the tiger's emerald eye.

I really love this one! You are very talented with acrylics as well along with many other mediums. It's such a unique tiger piece and the expression is fantastic. The lighting is magnificent and the colors are stunning. They all compliment each other beautifully
