Description
Up for interpretation. More often than not I like to keep my personal meaning behind my art hidden. I like to hear what you guys make of it.Ballpoint pens are one of my favorite mediums, so simply yet so hard to use. And they take forever. Here I used only a typical black ballpoint pen for the tiger, black India ink for the splatter, and some white acrylic for some touch ups.
Time to look for new masking fluid. This one has started leaving yellow stains the white paper. :C I managed to get rid of most of it with white paint, but still.
So the original is for sale. Other than a couple spots that are very slightly yellowed (can barely tell at all now that I fixed it with paint), and there are a few kamikaze splatters and flecks of black paint that are inevitable when it comes to splattering, its in great condition!

That's an interesting interpretation, I love hearing what other people have to say.
And fur details....many many tiny little flowing strokes. Very time consuming. C:

Combining the gentle and the fierce; I like it. It seems as though the tiger, an image of strength and power, is trying to release in a softer way.

You made the butterflies look like they are on top of the splatter. How did you do that?

When the background was still white, I took masking fluid and painted the butterflies. When it was dry, I did the splattering and dripping behind with ink, and when it was all dry I rubbed the masking fluid off, which revealed the white paper in the shape of the butterflies. Then I just went and detailed them with pen, and gave them shadows to make it seem like they are on top.
