It feels wonderful to have the time to paint again. Watercolours have a way of relaxing the painter, slow fluid and loose.And it had been a while since I've drawn a dragon.
And underwater scene.
Originally I had wanted to draw Abe Sapien but I couldn't get the inspiration or sketch down for that. I'll do that one later. <3

This is so pretty! I love the coloring of the background, and the dragon's mane is pretty amazing. Watercolors really are the way to go for images like this.

I almost didn't even paint the mane in there. I had it in the sketch but I had completely forgotten about it until I looked at the sketch again when the painting was complete. The original pencil lines on the painting paper faded with the paint and water, I guess.

Heheh. It's happened to me too where an original line is a work is erased, and I didn't even realize it until its too late. It's a killer (X_X). I'm glad you got in the mane, though.

Really beautiful underwater scene! You've managed to create that effect really well with many things. The different shades of blue, lights and shadows and that mane. They're all beauilful. ^^ Niki's beautiful, Ilike the design and colours very much. Lovely painting.
