A life altering event for my main character in an Ethnic studies midterm project where I had to make my own superhero that relates to modern day / historical issues. The lore i wrote for this is written below. I realized a bit too late that this is a shitty deus ex machina so i tried to make this less sudden by foreshadowing the supernatural entity in previous slides. The lore is shown below

"1972: His family moves into the Navajo reservation after its finalization to seek refuge from the war on drugs"
"1978: His first date was in his senior year with a girl who wanted to become a lawyer. Her own goals rubbed off on him, taking interest in that career"
"1979: A white supremacist gang and DEA agents bludgeon jacy over alleged drug use, kill his entire family and girlfriend. And leave him to die"
"1979: A supernatural entity breaks the barrier between the spiritual and living realm to revive Jacy, Gifting him the 2nd perspective and entering his mind"
"1980: His experience with this entity and its goals make him research Navajo culture and history, giving him a purpose in life after his graduation and the death of his family.
"1982: Using his engineering skills, He crafts his suit and starts going by the alter ego “Psyhawk”. And enrolls in law school while fighting crime. He also finds out that he is bisexual, making his life difficult due to the stigma from the aids epidemic."

Also 2 details i wanted to show here, the small glowing orbs are based off of Yeibichai, spirits in navajo folklore who were said to have created the navajo people and accompanied "medicine men" in dancing rituals to help patients with a sickness. And the trail the orbs leave behind are based on planetary nebula, while the grander more powerful hand leaves a trail of diffuse nebula, hinting to a power or even a hierarchy in this spiritual realm.
