Description
C-Clamp (aka G-Clamp) are tools usually used to hold metal or wood pieces together. This model of a 4-inch jaw C-Clamp is created with 100% quad topology, and UVunwrapped. This package contains a set of extremely high detail texture maps for diffuse (color), specular (reflection), glossy (blurry reflection), and bump channels; perfect for close-up rendering. Seamless procedural materials will also work well with this model. All preview renders were done with the same texture maps provided in the download, using the Octane render engine. There are 38,690 total polygons, and 38,724 vertices. The texture maps may need to be adjusted by hand after import, as the OBJ file format does not support certain map channels. It's up to you to tweak the maps and materials in your render engine of choice for optimum results. Please refer to the OBJ import instructions included in the README.TXT for recommended usage and import guidance.Alternatively, you can also download this model from the following resource websites, as well as view more preview renders and wireframes:

You are free to use or modify this model as you see fit for your own projects or scenes. As with all my freebies, this model can be used for both commercial and non-commercial renders. You may NOT, however, resell or redistribute these models or textures, or any derivative of them; individually, or as part of a package/set.

I would love to see a video on how you modelled the screw. or are they all straight?

In this particular model, they are straight. This is because of how they appear on most of the actual clamps of this kind; they are like that in real life. However, I have modeled actual screw-shaped, quad topology before, without booleans or any weird tricks, and I would make a video of it if you'd like. An example of actual modeled screws exists in my Floor Flange With Wood Screws model, if you wanna take a look at them. It's free to download in OBJ format as well.

great eye for detail! You've captured the texture maps of a clamp after a few uses. Finish rubbed of on the corners, 'buffing' and scratches on the handle - fantastic detail.
Now you need a couple texture maps with glue globs and paint drops on it. (Ok, I don't do a good job of cleaning up after a project and putting way my tools.)
Nice model. Thanks for sharing.
