Description
A rather quick Dilophosaurus based on the new study that was released last month. Done while listening to Brian Engh's drawing lecture on the newly revised proportions and crest of this early Jurassic theropod. You can watch that here:

This one's color scheme is based upon the one I published in 2015 in the Senter and Robins paper "Resting Orientations of Dinosaur Scapulae and Forelimbs". (Link to the paper here: journals.plos.org/plosone/arti… )
That reconstruction can also be seen on Wikipedia under the "Description" section of the article- for now, until a better one comes along. (Which probably won't be by me...)

I will make another one with speculative feathering next, and it will probably look familiar as well.

Also this drawing features Cirrus Kelvin-Helmholtz clouds because why not? No idea if they existed in the early Jurassic though.
