When I was in Florida in Spring of 2004, I actually pet some Manatees in the wild. It was an unforgettable experience.

OMG OMG, I love this! Such gentle and special creatures the manatees.
I sometimes see them from the pier and my heart just overflows with joy. BTW, I live in Manatee county too

I can see why they are considered one of the gentlest creatures on earth. Look at that face, it's like a big sweet swimming Hound Dog. Those eyes just make you melt like puppy who wants a bite of your steak. What an excellent shot. Where did you take it? Nice shot . Just a little random fact , did you know that some people used to think that manatees were mermaids? HOW IS THAT EVEN POSSIBLE? THEY LOOK NOTHING ALIKE. I mean, can't you totally see that manatee with little shells sitting on a rock, flicking it's long hair at a ship that goes past?
