I really cannot do more to emphasise how much people need to read the novel. The movie is such a deviation from the origional work.

I did hear that, and I would definitely like to read the novel, but I found that the movie was strong and stood up on its own, regardless of how different.

Yeah, but after reading the book, they seem like two completely different stories. And I agree that the movie was good, but I almost think they could have put anyone in V's place, and no one would have made the connection between the two. Imagine V as some other anarchist, and the movie would still be the same.
