aww, yeah lovely character and great textures/colours. I love the handmade details you put into all of your work.
I like the wing above his ear and his suit. his nose makes me think of him as a space pinocchio captain. now all he needs is adventures !
it also looks like a chalkboard drawing ! ( actually, something tells me you would make awesome stuff with that. there is a dude here, don't know him personally, but he did some wicked chalkboard dinosaur drawings. check em out ! [link] )

thanks Dimitri! the link to that guy is awesome, all the way inspiring. I never tried chalkboard, at the moment I'm in love with gouache, you can create so great dirt looks, a bit like coal, which I can't use for somehow, the sound and the feel gave me gooseflesh.
yeah adventures, man I tried making a comic so often... like draw and see what happen next but it always leads me nowhere, can't find an end and loose interest immediately. maybe it works with a complete story but I suck at writing and I don't know where to find a writer who shares my special interests

hehe, alright ! oh yeah, gouache ! gotta try that soon. I bought a whole stash of it like a year ago and never really used it yet.
well, comics aren't easy, but not superhard either. you can do a very short one ( like 3 panels or so ). and I don't write either, I just draw . but on the way you might squeeze a little comic out of it. me personally, I haven't found a writer who shares all my interests. I talked together with a lot of writers and they all had good ideas, but in the end, I think I gotta do it myself.
but if comics are not for you, then don't do them , just do what you feel you should be doing. I just think that you have the imagination for it and maybe have a few stories to tell. Like for example, stuff you experienced in your life. that space pinocchio might just be a metaphor

I've been thinking about bringing my life to paper a lot lately because I watched the American Splendor movie a few days ago and realised that my life is way more interesting than Harvey Pekar's is . Comics are definitely my thing, I guess I just making to much of a big deal of it and that keeps me very uncertain, well...

heck yeah ! american splendor is a great movie, but I think almost everyone's life is more interesting than Harvey Pekar's , no offence to him, poor guy. He proved ordinary life can deliver interesting stuff too. what you could do is start writing down some of the things you experienced, like a little biography, and pick out the most interesting parts. look how comics you like tell stories. no pressure at all. but I too have that uncertainty about comics, because, well, a lot of good stuff gets made
. but that's no reason to not try it. nobody needs to see the early stage if you don't want it, but I can give you feedback if you like.

sorry for the stupidly late reply man, I'm on it and I will take your offer for sure
I read a very inpiring lavatory saying recently, written on the inside of the cabin door, it says: Look out, limbo dancers! that really blow my mind, haha.

oh really? I saw the movie but never an old Wizard of Oz book, we had Astrid Lindgren and the Grimm brothers when I was little. I'm going to check that right away. I love all kinds of tales, it's maybe not that viewable in my stuff but one of my biggest influences is Struwwelpeter/shockheaded peter by Heinrich Hoffmann, read by my notorious evil grandma, I was so scared and amazed at the same time that it left a brand in my brain forever.
thanks for the nice words dear
