Just based on the poster art alone I would go see this. I mean sure the original Transformers animated movie practically fucked me up for life as a kid with all the characters eating death's dick so violently but seeing this sequel might have helped... or not I mean there is an ass load of dead bots on the cover and I would need to see this just to figure out how Prime came back, who is the monster behind him and more importantly is Optimus their savior or their killer in this thing.
I love the entire concept and sifting through all the damaged bots in the pile is like a morbid Where's Waldo game trying to see if any of my favorites are in there. And yes quite a few are in there

dude... im with you on that.. the original transformers had a long lasting effect on me... i wish someone had prepared me before going in... i dont have very many memories of being five.. but optimus's death... trauamatic!

I saw it in the theater when I was 10 and that first half of the movie crushed me. Like most of my favorites died and I was in shock for the rest of it. I also knew things were serious when Spike yelled out, "It isn't even dented! Oh shit! What are we going to do now?" Between the deaths and Spike actually cursing I knew nothing was safe anymore in that movie
Still as traumatic as it was I will still watch it over the original animated GI Joe The Movie just because of how badly they veered from Cobra Commander's origin in the comics and ruined him. Plus everyone in Cobra-La doing that horrible "Cobra LALALALALALALA" battle cry made me want to rip my head off and throw it at the screen.

For some reason, I saw this and immediately thought it was a violent Christmas Transformers poster. I was only a little disappointed that this was not the case, but that was only a fleeting moment. This looks fantastic.
