Description
This was the first attempt at coloring a image of mine. Didn't work out the way I intended it to be. I also added a sloppy background to it.. These two don't have names yet. So I someone has an idea, I am open to suggestions. The right girl is asian and has polio. So I think a chinese name makes sense. She often goes to the coffee shop with her her paralyzed friend who can not move from the shoulders down. To make things easier they even installed a cup holder on the wheelchair. The green thing next to the mouthcontrols is a coffee cup. The tablet is controled by those little red sticks next to the joystick or with the mouthstick which is next to the tablet.
I imagine them as a quite mischiveuvous duo.
The girl in the wheelchair likes to dress well and sexy while the asian girl likes the alternative Indie-rock style. (And she apparently dislikes shoes.)

Hey just fyi, people who use crutches all the time usually use forearm crutches as oposed to underarm crutches, since they provide more flexibility in movement. Underarm crutches are more of a temporary thing.
Speaking from experience :/
I love the color though, and the background is nice.

I haven't found that to be true. I use crutches daily.. and nightly and I have found forearm crutches to be clumsy and unable to offer the stability of underarm crutches. The choice is one of a more personal nature than anything else.
Speaking from experience myself.. I have tried both and underarm works best for me and it's also what is suggested by most if not all physical therapists. At least in America.

Thanks for the Info, both of you. I drew those crutches, because whenever I see people with polio in the media they used those kind of crutches.
But I think it also depends on the country, which crutches are given to you. I never ever saw those under arm crutches here in Europe. Neither in Germany nor in England, Netherlands or Italy. Only forearm crutches are used. To me those underarm crutches are a China and US thing. When I had a to use crutches, I thought that forearm crutches give no big deal of stability. (But of course i lack longtime experience) But I thing they are propably better for your back. For people who can not control their lower limbs I think underarm crutches make sense, because you can rest on them and then use your hands freely. But if you only have one leg, you are able to balance yourselve easier and can propably move faster and easier over obstacles with underarm crutches.
