Ok, this was done in a very short space of time, havent done a piece of fanart in ages showed me an old japanese animation from the 60s (the 60s! This film could be done today, so little has changed in nearly 50 years its criminal..thought they'd so something to improve at least) called the Little Norse Prince. Suffice to say I loved it, all except for the horrid cutesy characters in it...someone needed a gun in there to deal with them. Anyway, here is the bad guy; Grunwald, on top of his ice mammoth, bloody brilliant idea and Hols, the hero, at the bottom.another anime film that I like, that makes....two

Just bought the dvd of this movie and watched it a few nights ago. It's horrendous that it's such an unsung movie, it's really good. : ) I liked it.

that mammoths teeth scared me. that was an awesome movie and this is a great art even with only a few colors you captured so much detail

You mention that anime hasn't changed very much by seeing this movie, actally its the first modern anime. Before this pretty much all anime was Disney like...If you like this anime you may like Ghibli films such as Princess Mononoke or Spirited Away.

Yeah the mammoth was excellent, but he had no chance against that Rock Giant. Felt sorry for it in a way but then again he did have sharp teeth so he was bad.

I'm actually an anime fan, but then again, I'm a big fan of animated films in general.
I seriously need to brush up on older anime. The oldest one I've seen is probably Sea Prince and the Fire Child.

I'm quite the opposite, have to be force-fed cartoons by people who know them well enough to seive out the rubbish.

It is good. It's a fantasy version of Romeo and Juliet, and it's by Ozuma Tetsu (?), the creator of Kimba the White Lion and Astroboy.
You can tell the animators for The Little Mermaid used a lot of the imagery as inspiration.
