this has been hovering in the back of my mind for at least a year now but for whatever reason i was possessed to make it tonight haha.

i remember the lightswitch coming on in my brain when i realized i could do this. it's a fairly straightforward and easy trick but if you haven't heard of it... well, now you have! i think this is a lot easier than trying to explain through only text what's going on.

next up for some point in the future is a tutorial about painting iridescence, since that's another one i've found myself trying to help with more than once. i'm no expert, but if you have other ideas for how-tos that you'd like to see, please do let me know! ^^)/
