So as mentioned with the previous one:

The comic series Rival Angels: www.rivalangels.com , which is done by my friend Alan Evans, is on it's annual holiday break, and I did four pieces for him... Each one reimagining his four main characters as a 90s superhero, complete with all the tropes and nonsense from the time. (Impractical outfits, glowing appendages, oversized weapons, etc.) For comic people like me, the 90s was a special time for us. Like it or hate it... It influenced us. And it was kinda fun to play around with those old tropes... And while it may not be noticeable, I got to utilize an older inking method and incorporate it into the digital inking... And I kinda like how it turned out. I did all these up with faux logos and banners, so these are the logo free images.

So third in line is the character Brooke Lennox, aka Aphrodite. Where the first were outright re-imaginations, this one is sort of an interpretation of sorts. In the story I only did the beginning of Caribbean Chaos... I really need to complete that when I finally get my shit together... I had this insane ass backstory where there was this young freedom fighter with a hint of an Australian accent running around in the Caribbean named "La Afrodita" and ended up inspiring this entire revolution that eventually overthrew the corrupt governments of a chain of islands down there. And then one day, she up and disappeared, and no one knows whatever happened to her. Then of course a few years later this tall buxom wrestler with dyed blonde hair and and breast implants shows up on television... And no one has ever figured it out.

And the best part is? Alan loved the idea! I think it may be canon! So yeah.

I drew inspiration from the Rob Liefeld school of design here... Not trying to emulate the style, but just the design ideas. But I did make sure to add the pouches, giant guns, stupid impractical outfit and of course... I hid the feet.
