I saw the movie over the weekend. It was fun... Silly, but fun!I tried some new stuff with this one. Mainly I drew it at a smaller size. (I got some of this manga A4 sized paper when in Chicago that is fun to draw on. Misproportioned to draw pages with though... Which is ironic, since that's what it was made for.) I wanted the only black in the picture to be GR himself, to give it a more cel look (Something I've been trying to pull off better for a while now.)
The bike was the easiest part. I went out and bought one of those little dollar motorcycle toys for references. Thing is, the front wheel didn't actually turn so I had to snap it and rubber band the wheel at it's angle. The rocks in the background were a pain, since I didn't want any line work showing. Going through various shades and hard cuts to color the damn things. (The clouds... Well they're a premade file I made up with a wet sponge brush in photoshop. I was bored one weekend and made like fifteen of them for various times of the day.

i liked the movie, simply because Ghost Rider was badass. the movie was stupid XD but still, he was just plain pwning all the other dudes.

The movie is... um... well, it's an action film, and it doesn't pretend to be more than that. It's not gonna win any Oscars and I kept laughing at Nicholas Cage's hairpiece... But it was fun. Problem is it begins with a awesome looking cowboy Ghost Rider and you find yourself wanting to know more about that story than the one they tell you about.
It's a "shut your brain off" movie.

I love those types of movies ... getting sick of the movies that make you think too hard. "Ghosts of Mars" is one that's just a lot of fun too with a really creepy and sickening under current.
