Okey doke, some time ago I had this idea to do a fan comic of Batman Beyond, with some updated and retweak designs and concept. More Shirow, less Timm in design. Do not get me wrong, I love Timm's work, but I just want to see how a different look would work on Batman Beyond, and since Bman Beyond was already pulling inspirations from things like Akira, Syd Mead, and Ghost in the Shell (my obsession of late, it seems) I though the take would be apt.

Anyways, this was an experiemental landscape to try out for the backgrounds. It's a photos taken from Hong Kong (which really has the perfect "Megatokyo" feel, even more than Tokyo it seems!) that I found online (no idea who's it is, so I can't really say the image is mine.) and then I went over it in blacks, dropped the color, and added new colors, and repainted the sky, keeping the "blood red sky" motif in Gotham. I didnt want to go too bright and lit up, since after all... It IS Gotham.

Right now I'm in the midst of Shadowgirls for three issues. (I am not looking forward to coloring that beast.) But afterward, who knows. Maybe I'll actrually get a chance to work on this little fan project of mine.
