All right, let's give a back story for those not familiar with everything... The guy in the foreground is Star Saber. And Speeder, behind him, is the Micromaster Partner of Dai Atlas. (I refuse to call him his "son" until I know how that's supposed to work, outside of Japan just being weird.) If you're been reading the Transformers MTMTE comic book recently, you know what happened to Dai Atlas, and why Speeder would be attacking Star Saber.Why dd I draw the traditional Star Saber as opposed to the recent redesign by Alex Milne? Because dammit, I paid for that Ark Compendium book with the various model sheets and by God, and I'm gonna use it!

Nice design for star saber, I like how you designed Speeder...and the way he is planning to fight Star Saber. Dynamic poses and characters.

Dude, I so don't blame you for going all the classic designs over the stupid redesign crap. That's why the only Transformers comic I'm reading right now is Regeneration One.

I don't hate many of the redesigned guys at all. And the few I do have issues with is more because they have Cybertronian alt modes than anything. (Never been a big spacecar fan. Looking at you Bumblebee and Cliffjumper!) I think Milne's a really talented artist and I really like how he did Star Saber... But I'm just more of a classicist. When in doubt, I will always default to it. (It's easier to draw!

I'm not saying that Alex is a bad artist, I like his work on Transformers Energon over at Dreamwave, I just never like the direction that IDW took on the series when they started publishing it.

I understand and I had felt that way, until the recent two series they launched where I felt they finally got it working nicely. (I will swear they've done more in the last twenty months with those two books than they had with the previous six to seven years combined.)
