A somewhat warm winter, ice slowly melting. Decided to get out before it was all gone

btw i agree with the poster above, my sigma 10-20mm does tend to give me soft edges to the right of the image :S on my canon 400D

I haven't really tested mine too much, just took it out and started using it
I won't be keeping it though, I plan to upgrade to the Nikkor 17-35 since it's full frame

that sigma seems to reproduce a lot more detail around the edges on nikons than on canons
i wonder why that is.

Perfect location for an interesting blend of "elements," I think the water, contrasting with the ice and the sun are all just a really great combination.
I must say that the foreground is the best part, the way that ice is so clear, so sharp, and the way it blends into the water is picture-perfect.
