Amazing. Beyond amazing. This shot really has me thinking about childhood and when time and money didn't matter. Instant fave.

if you wouldn't mind i'm not so informed about post processing, it would be nice to hear what programs you use and some babel on post processing, maining for the white balance, that it what i really would like to learn about, thank you very much!

With HDR I follow the same workflow:
Adobe Bridge (make sure all images have exact same settings)
Photomatix Pro (merging into HDR, tone map)
Photoshop or Lightroom (final touch ups)
Things I adjust most often are white balance, exposure, contrast, curves, and color balance.
White balance is just a measure of the color temperature which depends on the lighting in the photo. If you shoot in RAW you won't have to worry about that in the field and adjust it to whatever you like with photoshop or lightroom to achieve the effect you want. Traditionally white balance is set to make whatever was white in the scene look white in the photo. Artificial lighting like lamps / light bulbs produce hues that produce whites which turn out yellow or blue in the photograph. Adjusting white balance prevents that.

great color balance, nothing is too dark or too blown out, very nice. is this a manual white balance or an automatic? what do you shoot with? well done!

Thanks, I always shoot raw format and adjust the white balance in post processing, you can't always determine what white balance works best in the field
I primarily use a Nikon D200 dslr.

this is very true, i have experimented with that as well, the d200 very nice choice, i went with the Canon 30D.

Had I gone with Canon I probably would've gone for the 30D since the 5D was way too expensive then

Great capture ... but a GND 1.2 and HDR that's a lot of effort.

Thanks, I like the effect the combo gives me. HDR alone should be able to get it all but the appearance always seems too fake for my liking. Eventually though I hope to just use filters and get it in one shot. Post processing with HDR takes a too much time.
