Is this a real design concept by the listed companies?
Would be cool to see something so futuristic carry humanity a small step upwards.
How do you see it connecting to a carrier rocket? Attached like the Space Shuttle or will it use some rocket propelled start/first stage and be more in the line of a single-stage-to-orbit vehicle?

No. This is a just a personal concept design. I imagined those companies working together to build and design the ship. It's a single-stage-to-orbit vehicle.

That was roughly my line of thinking.
Next-gen space shuttle as a joint operation of the three greatest (aero)space companies would make sense.
None is able to develop it on their own, either through lack of experience, lack of funding, or ... wait... SpaceX would be the most likely to do that on their own. They might lack knowledge but are attractive enough to have a certain pull on engineers and they surely don't lack the funding as soon as their boss thinks "Cool idea, do it!"...
