Description *Created in Pimp My Gun. Some more weapons....*
(designations go from left-to-right, up-to-down)
[weapons not to scale with each other]

Designation: Bella-Fine Torvus
Classification: Hand-held Man-Portable Railgun
Use: Limited
Common Name: Catapault, Launcher, Grimgun

The Torvus is the most powerful hand-portable firearm available to no one. Production of the model is strictly limited to people who are deeply connected to the umbra market, and in particular the Bella-Fine arms developement company. To the public, Bella-Fine is a leading developer of drives and engines for starcraft and high-speed atmospheric vehicles, but this is merely a front for the most skilled and elusive weapons designers that have escaped quintuple-maximum-security prisons. The Torvus is a definitively deadly weapon, and no pistol comes close in destructive power. essentially a very small railgun, it uses magnetic coils to repulse a projectile at a significant fraction of the speed of light, making anything from a bullet to a handful of sand ammunition that can take out a tank. However, one has to wear a powerpack to operate one, and the cooldown necessary for the barrel removes rapid firing. However, this is rarely a problem...

Designation: Boraklava Thunderer Custom
Classification: Arctic Warfare Optimal Antipersonnel Spitfire
Use: Regional
Common Name: Red River, Polar Prowler, Black Russian

Think of a machinegun. Then double the output of its fire, adapt it to cold weather stress and combat conditions, and make it sturdy enough to get run over by a mac truck and still function, and you have the Thunderer Custom. The primary systems are built to withstand intense prolonged cold, and little short of blowing it up will stop it from working. However, it uses up ammo at a rediculous rate, as, possessing two magazines and two barrels, it fires six rounds when set on semi-auto. Additionally, the bullpup configuration of the loading system can be awkward to use when in a firefight, but its arctic advantages outweigh its impediments.

Designation: Brushman & Sons Tombstone
Classification: Battle Rifle
Use: Widespread
Common Name: Tomb-tapper, Knocker, Whoops-a-Daisy

Prolific. That is the word that best sums up the Tombstone, the mainstay of most human armies and quite possibly one of the most common firearms in the galaxy. It isn't flashy, heavily augmented by advanced machinery, or fire a rediculously high caliber round, but it is the best friend and savior of the majority of frontline troops in the vast and varied armies of mankind. Sturdy, dependable and rugged, the gun has a reputation of almost never jamming, and being very accurate and hard-hitting for a rifle. It is so widespread that it is quite common that two completely different armies of men who are fighting each other will both use this gun as a staple. This makes ammunition plentiful for the weapon on most battlefields, and its use only continues to spread.

Designation: Schizzargo Whisper
Classification: Assassination Light Pistol
Use: Restricted
Common Name: Spiker, Needlegun

In an age of huge explosive payloads, rapid-firing automated firearms and weapons that bring fiery death to whole squads of troops at a time, the art of subtle termination of enemies is often forgotten. Forgotten but not removed. The Whisper is a tool of an assassin so specialized for its role that it almost does not qualify as a gun. Although it appears to operate via a slide, the Whisper actually uses small electrical impulses to ignite and launch synthetic diamond needles at high velocity, swiftly and silently crippling or killing opponents with little fuss. The weapon's workings and ammunition are expensive and complicated, and it cannot penetrate heavy armor, but many a command staff has been wiped out in seconds by several well-placed bursts from this small, yet terribly dangerous, weapon.

Desingation: Ghuther Industries Inferno
Classification: Man-Portable Plasma Conduction System
Use: Limited, Specialized
Common Name: Burner, Sun-Gun, Firestarter, Blaze Cannon

The nature of plasma weapons is still highly experimental, but Ghuther Industries, the leading researchers into the possibility of plasma weapons, have decided that the most practical comabt data is the best method to test the practicality of such weapons. The small numbers of troups who have been given acccess to the Inferno have reported that the weapon is cumbersome and slow, but horrifically effective against anything in its way. The weapon works by injecting pressurized gasses into the chamber, using a powerful elecctric charge to inonize and excite the gas, and then blast the gas out of the barrel with all the subtlety of a sledgehammer to the face. The aurora-colored blast is less like a stream and more like a shotgun, but one that sublimates almost anything it comes into contact with, from infantry to tanks and fortifications. As a byproduct of its process of horrifically injuring and maiming individuals caught in tis blast, the weapon appears to crush enemy morale, as nobody looks forward to being converted into their base elements in seconds of burning agony. The weapon actually TOO terrifying, as it might create mental trauma for the troups who use it, but more testing pn the battlefield is required to verify this.
