Lovely in so many ways. Perhaps she's just dipping her feet in a pool of mercury?

You know my modus operandi: If you can't see it then it ain't there no more
(no belly/hips or left hand either)
I does love to cut and slice

Yeah - I wonder - have you ever done an A-B comparison to see if you save a lot of render time? I'm guessing that's why.

No, I've never done an A-B comparison, that's far too logical. Nonetheless, the smaller the base file the less RAM the program uses, consequently freeing up more for the render engine (my antique version of C4D uses CPU not GPU).
V4/morphs+hair/morphs+clothes/morphs>+300MB, baked>24MB, trimmed>9MB....
Something I never understood about PoSer (v4), it always said "You've got this much RAM and I'm going to take ALL of it as soon as I finish loading".

I think the blue is very much effective, not to mention sets the right mood. Great scene, Pete, but I cannot quite agree with the others that it is relaxing. There is some tension here; the colors are sending that vibe, as well as the girl’s look.

I'm with you Laspe!
I think she's wondering "Is it safe to bathe your feet in heavy fuel oil?" and "Will the fumes ignite when they reach the flame?"
I once dropped a bronze spanner into heavy fuel oil and it just sat there on the surface waiting to be picked up....
...Then again, maybe the spanner was made of that cheap Chinese bronze that floats!

Looks like that is exactly what she is thinking.

Very nice - relaxing and pleasing to the eye. The choices of a bluish background and non-transparent water I think help focus the eye on the main part of the image.

The blue background is actually (according to the computer) the sky at 22:00 last night in Bilbao, northern Spain (looking due North) ... I haven't got a clue what the 3 stars are.
It's amazing what computers know, isn't it?

It is indeed. I am amazed of where you found that shade of blue.My favourite shade of blue is International Klein Blue. Maybe one day you will find the inspiration to use it in one of your pieces.

Strange to think that there's no black whatsoever.... Even on the "black" bits!

Think I've just complicated things. Now I'll always be wondering "Black shadow or not?"
