Second skins and masking/semi masking for SSS.... I added the bows to make it look like she's wearing something (which of course she isn't - apart from the boots)

I always think it strange that gaudy / Gaudi are such similar words. I grew up in an environment steeped in Victoriana, overly colourful colours

I had never really thought of Victoriana as be associated with bright colors, but I see what you mean.
I learn something every day (like that gaudy is also a student celebration, but from a completely different (latin) root). Luckily, I forget 2 things, to make room.

I love it when you present a picture with someone in it: often, there's a piece of wood in it, and often it has a majestic texture. And it's the case of the tissues. This plus a perfect lighting have the magic effect to perfectly highlight that gorgeous character...

IMO, the wood is one of the noblest materials, and each time you use it, you give it the color it deserves..
I'm not sure it's a question of intelligence: you are skilled enough to always use a perfect lighting in your scenes.
