Description Fifth in the never ending quest to get the Doctor to come out... One day! One day!!!

Remember the supermarket with the genuine Batmobile, well this week they had the dress from "The Seven Year Itch" (??????)... In Spanish the film is titled "The Temptation Lives Upstairs" (I gather it was a free translation)

Well it's certainly not Cybermen! Thankfully man's best friend is a dog... I can just about afford that (as long as Dawg and I share our food).

I youtubed this scene last night just to get the title: She says "Isn't it delicious?" and he says "Sorta cools the ankles, don't it?"

I'm with you, I always thought she was a little too dumpy and squat.... But after watching the scene.... Mmmm, there aren't many modern actresses that come anywhere close to her sexiness.

for me curves work...not zaftig but a proper woman's shape...36-24-26 that kind of shape...maybe that's why I like classic movies so much, men look like men and women look like women...kinda like the redhead on Mad Men, whose name escapes me at the moment...55 + moment...

Glynis Johns?  She's still alive you know (91), so you maybe in with a chance!

actually her name's Christina Hendricks, but Glynis Johns was a hottie in her time...of course her time was the 1940's...

A fine lump of a woman...Although not too remarkable before all the plastic surgery. I'd imagine she's highly flamable in a bad way

Clever, clever Daleks… too bad for them they had missed the Christmas episode where he 'accidentally' got engaged to Marilyn (and may have even got married at that point)… so he has reason to stay hidden

madaigual In reply to NICELabs [2014-04-24 11:43:01 +0000 UTC]

What have you done NICELabs!!!   You'll destroy the time space continuum even by suggesting that the Daleks watch BBC's Dr Who

Well played Sir! I completely forgot about that episode... Both you and my daughter amaze me at the data storage capacity you carry around with you

NICELabs In reply to madaigual [2014-04-24 14:37:35 +0000 UTC]

Just following precidence  They could have watched it… (dipping into data storage). I'm sure you know, but just in case…   In the Remembrance (the Seventh Doctor and Ace) there is a scene where Ace is in a living room getting ready to leave.  As she heads out the door the last few seconds you hear an announcement on the television:  "This is BBC Television, the time is quarter past five and Saturday viewing continues with an adventure in the new science fiction series Doc-" and the scene cuts!

So, if they had been paying attention, the Daleks (who had set up a base in the school where the First Doctor's Granddaughter, Susan attended up until they left just a few months before the Daleks got there) COULD have watched it

Wibbly Wobbly indeed! You win!!! Again, always!!!

My all time fav is when the Master (the real one, Roger Delgado) is watching the Clangers, IMHO Britain's finest Sci-Fi show. Then the BBC did it again a few years back with the Teletubbies, a show which I believe was made especially to entertain government workers!

No sad angel (or would that be a Weeping Angel? )… the Seventh Doctor is one of my favorites and that episode particularly…

That was the Master watching the Teletubbies, yes?  I seem to remember that scene...

or the Teletubbies watching the Clangers?

I just watched a show all about photos of Marilyn, including the whole press frenzy around that scene.   I'm surprised there's not a gaggle of photographers shooting this... then again..   maybe they're just "off camera".   (Do you call a gathering of photographers a gaggle?  A giggle?   A ...  band??? )

I didn't know they could bend at the...   waist?  Me thinks a twist dial might be involved.   Very nice.

I'm still loving these!

madaigual In reply to phraught [2014-04-23 20:49:14 +0000 UTC]

I do believe photographers share the same collective noun as house cats, namely a nuisance ()

I admit that I hesitated when it came to BENDING the Dalek (Twist was yesterday's button) because it's unrealistic, then I caught sight of the other one dressed as Marilyn Monroe and I thought..... Go for it!

There's no reason whatsoever why this series should ever end... I do them for my amusement, it's a plus that others like them.

Bending - I should have guessed.   We'll just have to see what button tomorrow brings.
