Description
All I wanted to do here was to see if I could paint sand onto her feet (vertex map) and I think it looks quite nice. I wasted a lot of time making invisible feet in order to put footprints in the sand - But the camera angle is too shallow to see them properly - However, a few more things learned.Strange thing is that the background is merely the sky that I used, for some reason it rendered with a texture (?????) ...Have to try again with an unbiased render!

The next time someone tells me 3D Rendering isn’t art I’ll point them here.....
Amazing and beautifully done

Well that has to be the nicest comment I’ve ever had on , although I feel unworthy of it seeing as how all I wanted to do was put sand on her feet.... But you’ve encouraged me to try harder in future

How did this one get by me? I love it. The sand on the feet looks perfect. And you know I love those reflections!

I told ya' phraught...I can render faster than you can look
Still not too sure why the plain sky rendered with a check pattern though? (Only possible explanation is )

Ha - sounds like a challenge! I think I tried the DA "news feed" or whatever they call it... seems close to useless - I think that's why I missed it.
Speaking of missing things - I missed the checkerboard pattern in the sky... Very odd. I assume so sort of mathematical artifact - I suppose the sky is complete uniform and thought brought out the pattern. I looked for it in the reflections - I don't think I'm seeing it - or the variation in the surfaces is jumbling it up enough. Or... magic.
If you're not sure I can keep up... I say: render away, sir!

Cool artwork. I like how you present it, like a miniature artwork.

I think my style is called "I've got lots to do, so you put the background in!"

Fantastic! I always look at things like this and am amazed by the complex simplicity She's totally beautiful and the scene is simple and uncluttered but every object has so much going on. Can look at this for ages and pick out new details
Amazing

A lot of work just for sandy feet!
As you know ( oh great creator of worlds, solar systems and galaxies ) I usually construct a right angled corner to give the illusion of location, now I've even omitted the corner...Soon I'll omit the foreground too and I'll be able to grind a little more

Think I might be heading towards Mills & Boon cover art here, might as well just step under a bus now.
(This is a result of our "Dirty soles" conversation... On screen her whole body is covered in sand but when it renders the alpha channel removes most of it, very confusing and not worth all the hassle for just a sandy ankle)

A whopping 50Mb (V4 is not baked), but the sand disk (cloth) is ridiculously subdivided to allow the indentations of the rocks/stones/feet. I'm currently re-rendering it (unbiased) with an alpha channel and no background... So I'll leave that doing its thing overnight and see what it looks like in the morning (Don't you ever sleep phil?) We Europeans should be in bed by now.
Fais de beaux rêves!

I'm going to bed around 4 in the morning, except on week-end (5 to 6) Yes: I love the night, more than the morning.
Merci pareille
