How's that for magic!Those who know me by now will understand that I had an idea for a Halloween pic and I gave myself six whole weeks in which to complete it..... and suddenly it was finished ( I did last year’s on 27 Sept...by my reckoning in 10 years’ time I’ll be doing Halloween pics in March). Time for another idea
I actually picked up a sexy witch hitchhiker years ago, I knew she was a witch because after 5 minutes I turned into a parking lot!

I came back to this one and... I'm loving it - the smoke alone is worth that million points you sent me a while back... (I seem to have misplaced them!). I'm still not sure why a pass I would need is in her waist band... I don't suppose I should try to snatch it....

:crazy. I just wanted a door that's easy: a long thin box! But I made the inside handle, outside handle, lock plate, hasp, barrel, keyhole, numbers, spyglass, security chain and then..... I put the door out of focus so nobody can really see any of those things

Dem's a LOT of pumpkins! Love it - I particularly like all the interesting reflective surfaces and all the interesting things to reflect in them (and am also interested in that card in her waistline).

Reflections, reflections... I warped the front door panel just slightly to distort the reflection. Decided to use IES lights: Street lamp/Room lamp, they always give a very satisfying effect. Failed miserably with my "6 weeks" plan, I really do wish I had a longer attention span 
BTW the card in her waistband is a "pass card"... She won't let you in without that!

Cranked up the colours today almost Fauvist (been to the supermarket, filled with witches...might have something to do with it
It'll be another 2 weeks before the shops are filled with all that plastic Halloween tat, at the moment it's "Back to skool" offers (including "Back to skool discounts" on hard liquor...I kid you not!) "Jalo-in" isn't even a Spanish festival, it's just 100% , the same as the day after (Nov 1st): "Day of the Dead" which is the day when flower shops up their prices by +2000% and marzipan becomes more valuable than gold ...I wonder if anyone has ever tried to make marzipan flowers ?

nobody ever gets it right. but you come the closest.
