Description
One of my redesigns from a little remembered Hanna-Barbara cartoon called Gravedale High. Whilst the original was set in a high school for monsters, I chose to update it and move it to a college/university setting.Blanche was one of the few characters in the original show that didn't really have much of a strong personality other than southern belle. My take on her is of a more antagonistic role which the show seemed to be missing. I decided to play up the materialistic side of her character and turned her into a gossipy mall zombie with a love for fashion, money and popularity. I also felt her original design wasn't zombie enough, the challenge was to do this whilst not making her look too gross and gory considering this is based on a kids show.
Blanche is also now dating J.P Ghastly but it's not clear if this is genuine affection or an interest in his popularity and bank balance.

Sadly not. With the setting now in a university it didn't make much sense. I did toy with the idea of redesign of him but it felt almost wrong to do so as the characeter was modeled after Rick Moranis. I am considering designing his daughter who would be a take on Jekyll and Hyde, the idea is that
she becomes the hyde character so she can attend Gravedale U

I love the look, but why make her a bitch? I thought Duzer provided plenty of bitchiness as it was, LOL

I do agree that Duzer in the original showed was more of the bitchy character. For me it made more sense in my version that Blanche take that role, in the original the only things i can remeber her liking were shopping, fashion and Money and her ambition is to marry the richests monster in the world and for me these were traits that suited a more antagonistic role.
