Description
Cage Flanagan was born and raised in a quiet fishing town located in rural Ireland. His Da was his hero, a fisherman by trade he would often take a young Cage out on his his boat and tell him fantastical stories of the seas and its many creatures, something that would always remain and influence him for a life time, fueling a poetic and creative mind. Tragically at the age of 16 his dear Da died while fishing in a vicious storm. Cage was devastated, left orphaned and alone he felt he had no other option but to leave the painful memories and his home behind and took his Da's surviving vessel and set sail for London. Sadly for Cage the streets of London were not paved with gold as he was lead to believe and soon found himself literally fighting to survive as well as living in the filth of the dangerous East-end of London. Cage soon found solace in drink and the highly potent Absinthe being a particular favorite, as he says himself "Absinthe makes the heart grow fonder"

He felt his luck had finally changed when local gang leader Frankie Dobbs took him under his wing after seeing the young lad fight and fend for himself and suggested the gentlemen sport of boxing would teach him to hone his skills and over the next few years came to see this man as a new father figure.

Unfortunately this blinded Cage to true sadistic nature of this newly found patriarch, he was molded and changed by Frankie's influence. The kind bright-eyed gentle boy with a poets soul was soon turning into a heavy drinking womanizing thug . All that boxing was simply training to get this impressionable lad ready for the violent and lucrative world of bare knuckle street brawling as well as one of Frankie's dangerous gang members. When Cage had reached the age of 22 it was decided that to prove his loyalties to his "mentor"he must pay a visit to one Dr Metzger

as every member has and have an extreme modification made to his body.
Frankie decided to ensure pure control that his his brain was the most suitable candidate, Cage reluctantly agreed with the promise of new found abilities. Sadly for Cage days after the operation he seemingly had a violent brain hemorrhage and slipped into a coma.
The heartless gang leader was more angry that he lost a meal ticket rather then a son and simply instructed his lackeys to depose of his comatose body into the River Themes.
Fortunately for Cage he survived this ordeal! at the cost of his memories, though this may be considered a blessing as he seemed to be more like the person he was meant be before Frankie got his twisted metallic fingers on him, it was like the reset button had been pushed.
Cage found himself wandering the streets of Soho where he befriended and taken in by the owner of the Harlots House pub, he was even given a job as a doorman/bouncer. Cage and the Publican soon formed a close bond and a loving relationship soon blossomed. Cage refers to his new love as his "precious Ruby" which he has tattooed on his hand.

Both have promised to uncover Cage's past and his lost memories. Unfortunately his past is closer then he thinks!

Cage is a very strong formidable street brawler and theses skills only further enhanced by the intake of his biggest vice...alcohol! He also has a tendency to recite vivid and fantastical poems with every thrown fist.
Due to the procedure carried out on his mind,the hallucinogenic qualities of the drink Absinthe are now taken to a new level!
When he consumes the infamous green beverage hallucinations and poetry he recites become solid! further aiding him in a fight
Oddly enough the famous Green Fairy (named Wormwood) of Absinthe fame follows him even when not drinking though cage is the only one who sees her. she's mostly just mischievous though worryingly she often encourages some old forgotten behaviors that he'd rather not believe nor act on. There is a danger that her words along with excessive amounts of Absinthe cause Cage to temporally revert to his old self and his fighting becomes extremely violent and the poetry he recites and the hallucinations they create take a much darker form.
