Description
Haltek PPC fires a sheet of highly dense material formed in a mesh bathed in high energy ions, and projects it towards targets. This is the "full" load, which is extremely penetrative, and literally fries things around impact - often ripping right into medium vehicles, shielding and infantry alike. Firing it as such, however, is not fully practical due to cool down and reloading. The second fire mode, rather than projecting the full load, projects only a "cell" of the sheet at a time, literally bursting them at high speed but with lost accuracy, literally like a LMG.
To cool down, the weapon features heat sinks which greatly reduce cool down. The weapon can be cooled down instantly by ejecting one of the heat sinks, but this leaves less heat sinks to cool it down, effectively increasing it's cool down time in the long run at the price of sustained fire.
