Description
the definite straight man character, kansas is really irritable and the voice of reason that no one really listens to in her little group of friends

she already gets enough flak for being Italian-American in the 1950s, so she hates that the band gets her in trouble with pretty much everyone at school and even at home. She's in it because Maggie is her best friend, but she has her doubts about it at first. However, she eventually comes around to see that maybe Maggie has the right idea.

She's the bassist of the band, a skill which she learned from her father, who secretly supports her and the band.

was me watching an old movie from the 1940s or so with a secretary named Kansas falling in love with her boss
after the movie I immediately went upstairs and designed her because I was so inspired by the name alone
