I adore the simple color scheme which almost seems unfitting( and yet so fitting) with the monster, but the children do seem to love it so

I like this kind of russian illustration feeling (not the propaganda posters, this delicate tales illustrations with Baba Yaga haunting the woods, so clean and accurate and still soft and loose too )

Interesting point of view! Actually I was inspired by japanese Ukiyo-e Drawings, but I don't know anything about BabaYaga... so if you got a hint how I could inform myself please let me know! I love simple lineout illustrations and I'm always happy if I can broaden my mind!

Actually the Baba Yaga is a witch in russian (an perhaps all this eastern europe countries), there is several tales and illustrations about her, you have a story of Hellboy in wich (haha) you can see her, It isn"t a funny or rather normal one, Satan would fear her.

I don't remember seeing this character in the movie ( you seem to speak of the movies ^^) it's in the comics of hellboy in the " Darkness Calls" album, her design is quite close to the folkloric description and traditionnal illustrations. Read this Hellboy story, its a good one, and you have many informations about this witch, Mignola is a fanatic of history and legends as well as he is somtimes historical consultant for movies or other comics, I trust him

Hellboy is a comic at my wishlist, haha. But for now I haven't read any page. Yeah, I remembered an old lady in the 2nd movie,... but maybe it is not the right one. : D
