Description
(Stop motion Star Wars fanimation.)Earlier this year I was selected by Tongal as one of 10 filmmakers to pitch for the Rogue One stop motion shorts series, which would be animated using multiple brands of Star Wars toys. I had a week to make the above test animation, along with a pitch video expressing how I would go about the project if chosen. Ironically I had never seen Star Wars, so the first two of my seven days were spent watching all six films (and many of their preexisting parodies) and going toy shopping. The rest were spent furiously rigging, animating, editing, and making silly voices. Ultimately the project was given to someone else, but of course I'm beyond grateful for such an amazing opportunity. And after all's said and done, the whole experience made me into a brand new Star Wars fan!
