Look closer. It's not a link. Thank you. The fact that some of you thought it really was an actual fic makes me sad. D: Because that means there are fics that look just like it.Now, don't get me wrong, I love reading fanfiction and I'm perfectly fine with original characters as supporting or sometimes even main characters. But I hate, hate, hate when people make up a female original character that is overly cliche (kind-hearted, good-looking, good at everything, everyone likes her, etc.) and insert her into a fandom universe where one or every character falls in love with her, even if it's against that character's nature. All this is is girls who want to have sex with a fictional guy and thus inserting a glorified, overly-perfected version of themselves into said universe and then making up some half-assed plot to go along with the gratuitous amounts of gag-worthy sex.
That's like saying 'I love these characters, but I wanna be in there with them and make them fall in love with me! This story's all about MEEEE~' There's a lot of it. And I'm a little sick of seeing it.

Snrk, don't forget to add that the typical self-insert OC girl is also already married to Sebastian because she came from the demon world herself and calls him Sebastian, although she may very well know his 'real' name.
I do have some story ideas on having a self-insert character in Kuroshitsuji, but up to now I only have, like, 3 or 4 chapter ideas and that would be the whole appearance of said character. She'd be a side character, make some comments, shock everyone by wearing men's clothes (Hey, I think the men's clothes of 1890 was pretter than the women's...!) and have a fascination with Sebastian, but that's it. Nothing would come from it.
I have nothing against OCs as long as they are not Mary Sue-ish. Ditto on self-inserts, as long as they insert their own weaknesses as well. That's the problem with making OCs, you have to get a really fine balance into them to have them be interesting, but not steal the show from the canon characters. Have her be weak and realistic, but not so weak that you want to punch them in the gut to make them ball up.

If such a character existed, I'd bet Sebastian and Ciel would be highly suspicious of her. Plus, if someone claims to be a member of the Phantomhive family and Ciel clearly knows that such person is telling a big lie, he'd have Sebastian put a fork through her head before anyone could repeat the quote "I'm one hell of a butler." (And who knows...they might think she's after the family fortune by trying to deceive Ciel and kill him.)

I am in the process of writing a fanfic where the "OC" is Death, and though she is a "girl" she basically steps on and blackmails everyone. There is no romance except *cough* cielxsebastianontheside *cough*, but yeah it kind of irritates me when someone does that. Like, I would probably die from writing something that sickly sweet

I totally agree with you...
I mean honestly to me, someone creates a female OC who is Ciel's sibling and have them fall in love with someone like Sebastian it can't be all like "oh your going to eat my brother and I'm totally okay with it because I'm absolutely in love with you." It totally should be like "You asshole, you may be sexy but I totally hate you because that's my brother you want to eat!" Plus, if they are Ciel's sibling, shouldn't they be human too? I don't get this Mary Sue OCs for Black Butler that are half-demon and just happen to be all powerful.....seriously, a good original character needs some flaws, I mean even Ciel and Sebastian have their own major flaws!

I have 2 majors Kuroshitsuji OCs, Hakafu and Jet. Hakafu is a human and Jet is her demon. The two act like sisters to not give suspicion. TThey don't even meet Ciel and Sebastian until like 7 episodes into my thing, and when they do, Hakafu just finds Ciel to be stuck up and tells Sebastian he should introduce Ciel to alcohol XD

I have an OC idea. Half demon. She's DEFINATELY not perfect. And her and Sebastian don't necessarily fall in love. It's not done, character profile in process, etc. etc. I hope it CAN be shown to be more than just a "Mary sue".

I have to say that some of the funniest fanfics I've ever read are ones that troll the concept of Mary Sues. And surprisingly the trolls that are Mary Sues themselves are funny too, whether the humor was intentional or not. ^_^
