I made a Link cosplay for SDCC this year, and I had to make a shield for it! Here's the process for how I made it. damphyr taught me her ways and helped out along the way.Here's a shot of it in action:
I'm hoping to get a better picture of both it and my cosplay soon!

The googly eyes, omg XDDD This is a hilarious shield, and fantastic looking to boot! What kind of foam did you use that it didn't disintegrate/fall apart with the spray paint?

The main part of it is EVA foam (I was planning to use PVA foam, but I had some EVA in my mom's garage that I used instead). The rest I believe is craft foam. I forgot to take a photo of this step, but I covered it in black Plastidip before spray painting so the spray paint wouldn't destroy it!
