Description
The final SS version of the hylian sheild refurbished for my friend. It isn't the perfect sheild, but its at least a better upgrade then the previous decore of the sheild. The colors are fuller richer, and more shiny like a shield. Unfortunately, I didn't take a comparison photo of what it looked like before. So Instead I only have photos of him cosplaying with the shield. I think this is the best one I could find so far:[link]
It was also fun to test out new products I found out. Firstly I found out like in the previous in progess, using a glob of modeling paste with a knife is genious. Its soo much easier to sand with and it filled in the bumps of the previous paint job. It was even safe to spray the design master tool primer.
Secondly the design master tool prime is a more non toxic way to cover my foam. Those darts for the metalic part of the shiled, they are covered with design master primer in the same time frame as the metal part of the shield. Its a good way because its more nontoxic then plasti dip, and it looks pretty smooth.
Thirdly, as a fast solution for fixing up excessive metal paint that was on the blue shield, I could easily repaint it by using the same spray paint color. I just spray it on to pallete paper and layered the colors on to the thing.
Fourthly, it was great to use UV gloss protective spray because it helps pretect the sheild from uv rays, and acts like a sealant/fixative. And really finishing it off with future shine floor wax, make it a whole lot shinier. Now, I don't have to buy dura clear gloss varnish anymore. I can just go with the uv spray + future shine floor cleaner. It is just as durable.
OH before I forget, this was Link's birthday present to help refurbish a shield, so I say Happy Belated Birthday link!!

I was really trying out some new products besides the stuff I usually use, because of how he painted his sheild and no way that was comming off anytime soon. Gesso is annoying to sand. In the end, result though, the sheild turn out really nice.
I really told him to take care of the sheild. We actually worked on it together.

Thanks.
Also if you wore this sheild, it protects you from UV Rays.
