I... I think I understand your problem...
I have not read the manga, but I'm seeing some pictures in Google and see that Toriyama recycled many expressions on his characters, both male and female.
So in a sense you can blame to Akira Toriyama for your problem. But like I said you can correct it. Only a matter of practice.
If only I can draw at your style maybe I would make a mini tutorial to help you to correct that tendency.

Yes, this can be achieved. :] Though this comic is drawn differently then the other comics you may have seen from. These drawings are usually very quick and messy and on paper. I'm slowly going to move this comic to Zen (tablet).
