Apparently not many have noticed this, but despite the high resolution the quality is somewhat low. Still, a great wallpaper pack with some beatiful abstract designs inside

You're right about the quality - the basis for this illustration is a photo of grass which has been heavily modified using mainly the liquify- and warp-tools. Both of these tools result in a loss of quality and a certain amount of grain.
The illustration was originally designed for use on my new business-cards which did not require such a high resolution as modern monitors do.

I started work on a tutorial explaining the details of how I created this illustration a couple of months ago but never finished it. Thanks to the dailyDeviation I got a mental boost to finally go and finish it.
Just keep learning, creating & keep an open spirit and I'm sure you'll eventually find your own style!
