CG Sphere is a really cool Project: you get a template scene with a sphere in it, based on that you can pretty much go nuts... as long as you keep the original background (the grid), camera and stick to the original sphere size.My third submission:
darts is a dangerous game
...a little morbid maybe.

the only thing i'm not so sure about... is the viewer supposed to be the thrower, and therefore threw a dart into themselves? or is there another thrower that's just not in the picture that threw it at the viewer?

Hey! I saw that site the other day! I saw some pretty good stuff on there. And I would have to say that this is one of the best and most creative pieces that I have seen yet.

wow this is so cool! the texture of the ball is insane. the only thing that looks less real to me is the darts. compared to how awesome the rest looks im sure you could make them look even so much better.

The ball really looks real and has the texture of the real thing, the darts look pretty good if you could make the golden part a bit more dirty, I think it will look better. As for the the blood, the only bad thing I see are the drops. They seem too uniform to be drops, try taking some water and let some drops fall. You'll see that once it hits the ground it "explodes", smaller drops will form around it and the contour is like a zigzag. Drops dont stay like blobs unless the liquid is very thick.
Overall I really like it. If you could fix what I said, it would be even better.

The only problem I have with this image is the end of the darts, you have awesome texture on the board, and it looks really realistic. But the dart ends seem.. flat?
Overall though, this is really fun.. and it's a great concept.
