I guess I should start by picking up on last journal entry. To reiterate, Toothless had been acting really funny these past few weeks. Usually he'll throw up half his meal for me, but lately he's been getting really possessive of his food...not that I mind not having to eat a half digested fish to keep Toothless happy, but I still thought it was weird.

Well, I finally got an answer to why 'he's' seemed so off lately. A couple days ago, Toothless went missing. Deciding the best way to find him would be luring him out with food, I set out in all his favorite hiding spots; the rafters of the dining hall, the dragon nip fields and finally, the barn.

I could hardly believe my eyes, there was Toothless with four baby night furies! This raises so many questions, where did they come from? From what I've seen most dragons are oviparous, that is egg layers. And even the ones that are viviparous, giving birth, still have two parents.

I mean, there's certain types of snails that reproduce asexually, but I find it hard to believe something as complex as a dragon could pull a stunt like that. Maybe he..she...had a mate at some point. But I've never seen another night fury besides Toothless.

I'll write more once I get to have a better look at the chicks, and let you know what names we pick out!
