I think this one is just absolutely stunning! Very lifelike, the tears make extra beautiful. You can actually feel this phoenix's sadness :'-) beautifull, just beautifull.

No.... she cannot heal herself.... only others. My words of encouragement seem to work in the same way. I have healed MANY of my friends. But it is in my friends' happiness that I myself am healed. And my words seem to often work in nearly miraculous ways. But I don't hold back my heart with my friends. That may have something to do with it.
I recently wrote a poem based on one of my fantasy stories. I am new to DA, so I haven't gotten everything up here yet. But the tears of the 'Phoenix Queen' sounds very similar to what you were originally going for here. I can share this with you upon your request, maggock. I don't want to bother you though. Your art is absolutely superb. And it brings back many of my plotlines and metaphorical language from my own fiction. This seems from a very deep heart as well. I hope your art works a 'magic' even like my own words, spoken and written, continue to do.

Very good. the only thing I could detect is that the background colors are a bit too much like those of the focus (i.e. the phoenix.). I don't know if you did it that way on purpose or what, but otherwise, beautiful. The feathers and the details, especially.
