Picked up FFIV DS yesterday out of nostalgia... I'm not quite used to the bizarrely effeminate Cecil yet... Edward is a different kind of pretty, though - the good kind. I'm disregarding his illustration in the game manual, omg he looks so emo. [link] (How come in illustrations, Edward is always holding a lute, but in the game the instrument he plays is a harp?)Well, I guess he is kind of emo, though - all that talk about being weak and avenging Anna and feeling sorry for himself. But when I played these games when I was like 5-10 years old, I didn't understand a whole lot, I just knew that I liked Edward because the song he played was pretty.
Anyway ZOMG voice acting. I like the part near the beginning where the village of Mist burns down and Cecil goes "WHY?!?!?!" Also, turns out I've been pronouncing Cecil's name wrong my entire life.
I haven't gotten very far yet so I don't know if the "spoony bard" line is still in, but my fingers are crossed.
Edward is my very favorite FF character ever.
If I were a video game character, my special ability would be to run and hide, too! He's my hero!And he wears a feather hat. Really, what's not to love?

I got FF4 on Monday. Pure awesome. But it makes rydia look like a 10 year old.

The Prince of Persia from SoT and T2T I presume? No wonder his voice sounded so familiar. I also thought the music at the 'WHY?!?!?!?!' scence was very PoP reminiscent...dunno why.
By the way, have you guys seen Cecil's dance yet? Go back to Baron after a certain point (sometime after the paladin change) and Cecil will dance along with the dancing girl if you talk to her. No stronger proof of his feminity, if you ask me.

I think I'm going have to make that a catchphrase say it at random times. "What I lost at SSBB to Braden!? WHY?!?!?!?!?!" Something like that.
Also I'm too nerdy to play the game with English voices I only play with Japanese voices. I'm just nerdy hardcore like that.

Yeah I heard the English voice acting was good in this game.
