Thing has more of a mind than Cinderblock, but it is still unclear to me as to who would actually win.

Well, the Titans have had some difficulties with Cinderblock, but not all the time. In Apprentice I, Robin beat him on his own, and he did it again with Starfire in Aftershock I. And then of course there was the time Beast Boy lead Mas, Herald, Pantha and Jericho against him and beat him with complete ease. Although Thing would win, he would still get hit a lot.
